Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing

NHS & Op COURAGE: the Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service

Mental health problems are common and can affect anyone, including veterans, serving personnel and their families. It is important to get help and support if you or someone you know is struggling with mental health.

Some people delay getting help with their mental health for a number of reasons, such as trying to cope alone, fear of criticism, embarrassment or feeling that the NHS will not understand.

There are many different ways to get help that take you and your situation into account. Finding the right support for you is important.

Full details of support and information can be found on the NHS website here.

Connect Programme: Free digital wellbeing offer for veterans and their families

A free, digital, downloadable programme which has been developed alongside a public mental health expert and personal trainer, to empower veterans and their families in learning about how our mind and body work together to create, boost and maintain greater wellbeing.

Designed as a proactive, accessible and positive way to build better mental and physical wellbeing into veterans lives, the Connect programme can be downloaded and worked through around busy schedules and commitments.

Connect is a flexible programme which can be undertaken as an individual or as a family with the aim of introducing positive new habits that veterans can embed into their everyday lives.
