Opportunity to provide consultancy services to support development of the Local Skills Improvement Plan for Cumbria
Cumbria Chamber of Commerce has been appointed by the Department for Education (DfE) as a Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) Trailblazer. This followed a bidding opportunity earlier this year, open to any Employer Representative Bodies (ERBs), with all eight Trailblazers awarded to Chambers of Commerce.
The aim of LSIPs is to put employers at the heart of local skills programmes, seeking to ensure a responsive local skills system and the right skills provision to meet the needs of employers now and moving forward. This will involve engaging actively and effectively with both employers and providers.
Activity has to be completed by March 2022, so although we would prefer to recruit an in-house team we will need to follow a contracted route for some of our requirements, in particular around project set up and management, setting up and facilitating the steering group, stakeholder plan, coordinating research and testing conclusions with stakeholders and engaging with providers and other stakeholders regarding implementation of some conclusions.
If this is of interest then please email email@example.com by noon on Monday 27th September setting out briefly:
- Your availability between now and the end of March
- Day rate
- Relevant experience

Long Valley Yurts are looking to create a complete wedding package that makes it as easy as possible for our couples to have the best day without the stress of having to individually organise each component part. Their aim is to use local suppliers, championing local produce and heritage and keeping it eco.

- Parking for 80 -120 guests (we will be encouraging lift sharing and will organise transport to and from train station if required)
- Toilet if possible but we can hire these in
- Availability from mid March – end September – likely every Saturday and additional mid week bookings during holidays as a minimum (20 – 40 weddings per season with the infrastructure in place throughout the whole period)
