The Lake District National Park is home to many inspiring business and entrepreneurs who rise to the challenge of aspiration, imagination and creativity.
These businesses are vital in providing the National Park with jobs and sustainability.
LDNPA supports businesses in the following ways:
- Management Plan for the English Lake District, in particular setting out how that is achieved through the strategies for a prosperous economy (in section 3.2)
- Planning policies for the National Park; the Local Plan Part 1 (Core Strategy) and Part 2 (Allocations of Land) show how LDNPA will deliver the Vision for the National Park strategically and spatially by 2025. They contain criteria or area based core policies which guide development in the National Park. LDNPA is currently reviewing these polices and allocations through the Local Plan Review, so will be subject to change.
- Business Task Force is how LDNPA works directly work with local businesses (more info below).
