Carlisle Fireshow 2023

Bitts Park, Carlisle CA3 8AN: Saturday 4 November 2023

This event is extremely popular with residents and visitors to Carlisle. This will be the 34th annual Fireshow. It is an acclaimed show and one of the best fireworks shows in the region. People travel far and wide to attend the show.

Concessions will be positioned in the ‘Fireshow Village’ in the Castle Car Park and will be offering food and family entertainment to families attending the Fire show. There may also be an opportunity to trade from the Bitts Park Car Park, depending on number of concessions.

Concessions can set up from 12noon until 2.30pm then any additional vehicles apart from trading vehicles, may need to be removed from the site.

Trading hours will be between 5pm and 8.30pm.

Dismantling to take place from 8.30pm or when the crowds have dispersed and safe to do so. Please note, no vehicle movement until permission granted by an event official.

The concession holder will be required to be self-contained with your own power supply. No alcohol is allowed at the event.

Please note you will need to obtain an occasional trading license which will cost £59.40 or £36 if you already have a trading license with Cumberland Council

As a gentle reminder, please note for ALL events the Council must see evidence of your insurance. Public Liability Insurance (to a minimum of £5,000,000 (five million pounds) –-if you are selling goods your PLI should include Products Liability with an indemnity limit of £5,000,000 (five million pounds). (This may well be included in the Public Liability cover but should be specified.)

Employers Liability Insurance (to a minimum of £10,000,000 (ten million pounds) – this would only be relevant if you have people working for you (paid or unpaid). If you do, then this is a legal requirement.
