66 hours guided + 20 hours self-study over 8 weeks.
Aimed at new users to AM and CAD (Senior apprentices, graduates, technicians)
3D 360 will be delivering the face-to-face training for the 3D Printer build and operations modules (3 days) and the 3D CAD modules (2 days) from the Barclays Eagle Labs In Whitehaven
- All learners build an Creality Ender 3, 3D printer to take back to work or keep
- Calibrate and set the printer to a print ready condition
- Convert CAD files to a printable state using Cura slicing software
- 3D CAD fundamentals – Solid modelling, sheet metal, surfacing, detailing, assemblies
- What is Additive Manufacturing?
- Design for Additive Manufacture (DfAM)
- Advanced 3D printer materials and printer settings
- Basic service, fault diagnosis and maintenance
- Ability to design and 3D print various components

University of Cumbria Skills Bootcamps in Project Management – Limited Places Available
Starting in November 2022, this four-month course includes a mixture of on-line and face-to-face teaching together with two work-based projects. A gentle introduction followed by increasing levels of challenge during the course will help learners develop skills and confidence in a supportive learning environment.
