The Department for International Trade (DIT) are hosting an in-person event in Manchester on November 2nd from 10am to 2pm aimed at food & drink companies wishing to explore business-to-business export opportunities via the Alibaba.com E-Marketplace.
The intention of the session is to inform and educate companies to the potential and opportunities available selling via Alibaba, and to demonstrate Alibaba.com as a channel to connect British brands with a network of global buyers, retailers, distributers and wholesalers.
Alibaba is the world’s largest B2B marketplace and food & drink is actually Alibaba’s biggest sector – with enquiries for produce goods rising by over 40% last year. Please see the attachment for further details.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided, and there is also availability for 1-2-1 sessions with the DIT’s regional Food & Drink sector specialists, as well as Alibaba.com representatives for direct communication on what the offering entails.
Anyone interested in attending please email lesleyr@cumbriachamber.co.uk – your details will then be passed over to a colleague from DIT.
