Join Cumbria Business Growth Hub and Made in Cumbria for a day of food and drink workshops as well as the chance to hear from those who have taken the plunge and either launched or developed a food & drink business.
Workshops will run for an hour and cover:
– Using Instagram for Food & Drink sector
– Writing compelling product descriptions for your website and online marketing – writing descriptions that stimulate customer’s senses. You can’t smell fresh bread on a website, but you can describe the smell…
– Using your smart phone to take photos & create videos:
1). Composition and styling your food for photography
2). Lighting – how to light your food to make it look its best
3). Understanding your smart phone camera
4). How to create a “food” video
5) How to edit and post your photos for social media
Bring along some of their product for a “hands-on” style workshop where you actually get to take some photos and make a video.
Our first guest speaker is Elaine Remy who set-up Vie’s Jamaican Rum Cakes – Elaine will share her motivation and experience of setting up a new business and where the business is now.
The room can accommodate 8 – 12 stands so if anyone wishes to promote themselves and their products please include when booking your place – exhibition space will be offered on a first come first served basis with a table provided.
Refreshments will be provided but not lunch – you can choose to bring your own or order from the deli or café at Rheged.
