Is now the time to look into exporting? Are you now considering expanding into international markets? If the answer is yes, there’s a great range of support on offer through the Department of International Trade which Cumbria Business Growth Hub can refer you into.

Internationalisation Fund – Match-funded grants of between £1,000 and £9,000 will be available for future activity (subject to eligibility and availability). The fund can be used to support areas including (but not exclusively limited to):

  • Market research
  • IP (intellectual property) advice
  • Translation services
  • International social media/SEO
  • Trade fairs (where no TAP funding is available)
  • Independent market visits
  • Consultancy and other international commercial services

Export Academy – The UK Export Academy from the Department for International Trade (DIT) gives businesses the know-how to sell to customers around the world by learning from experts in international trade.

The UK Export Academy has been designed to accommodate different levels of exporting experience, whether your business is interested in starting to sell internationally or looking to grow your international sales further. The academy will you to overcome common challenges that businesses can face.

International Trade Adviser support – An International Trade Adviser can help you develop your export strategy, access training masterclasses, link you to specialist export advisers and help you make the most of the Department for International Trade’s (DIT’s) global network to grow your business overseas.
