Who is it for?
- To be eligible the business needs to be an SME* based in the North West including Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Warrington, Lancashire, Cumbria, and Liverpool City Region.
- Your business can be across any sector but we’re particularly focusing on the areas of: Environmental Industries, Technology and Services, Future Energy Systems and Advanced Manufacturing, as well as Materials and Chemistry.
*To qualify as an SME on this programme, the business must have fewer than 250 employees, Turnover of less than 50m Euros, Balance sheet less than 43M Euros.
How does it work?
On each cohort we take the very latest in research and delivery to bring you exciting, engaging, and powerful workshops that can help businesses to:
-Develop new products and services that can reduce the carbon footprint of business operations.
-Create net-zero action plans that can guide organisations in the transition from current-practice to next-practice.
-Reduce costs and enhance performance.
-Create new revenue streams.
-Expand into new markets.
-Understand innovation and develop an in-house innovation process and culture.
ECO-I NW is a collaboration between six universities in the North West.
Our group includes: Lancaster University; University of Central Lancashire; University of Cumbria, University of Liverpool; Liverpool John Moores, and Manchester Met.
It’s the result of eight years’ successful collaborative research and design (R&D) activities.
