On Thursday 7th October, Digital Tech Cumbria brought Cumbrian businesses together to hear about the latest digital innovations and learn about new ways to become more productive and profitable.
A key theme running through the event was the importance of keeping the ‘human side’ of digital technology in order to give customers the best possible experience when interacting with our businesses. The event included several case studies from Cumbrian SMEs on how digital techniques had helped them to add significant value to their customers.
The speakers came from a wide range of sectors, which is testament to the wealth of experience and knowledge within the county. They included Andrew Armitage of A Digital, Gill Haigh from Cumbria Tourism, Joan Lind from Try Booking, Michael Wigham from Online Systems and Catherine Weldon from Connecting Cumbria.

Meanwhile, Digital Tech Cumbria’s 1-2-1 digital support programme is still open for eligible businesses along with regular webinars and masterclasses. The programme can also offer advice and support to any business in the region struggling with the quality and speed of their broadband. Michael Wigham’s presentation is highly recommended on this topic too.
