Our Food & Drink Spring Expo brought Food & Drink businesses together from across the county for a day of networking, presentations and workshops.
One of the many introductions made that day was between Torpenhow Cheese Company and Cakes From The Lakes who have since started working together to launch a range of products.
Their ‘Farmer + Baker’ range uses Torpenhow Cheese Company’s organic butter to produce shortbread. The butter is made traditional using traditional methods with milk from their herd of 100% pasture fed cows.
The collaboration is the first of its kind between a baker and a milk producer both based in Cumbria.
