Webinar: Importing and exporting after Brexit

With a no-deal EU Exit still a possibility this Friday, April 12th, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) have joined up with HM Revenue and Customs to offer a free webinar to help SMEs be better prepared in the event of the UK leaving the European Union without a deal.

Officials from HMRC and BEIS will cover planned changes for customs and broader border issues.

Through this webinar you will learn about:

  • Import and export processes including transit and easements such as Transitional Simplified Procedures (TSP allows companies to transport goods into the UK without making a full customs declaration)
  • VAT policy
  • ‘New Approach’ Goods Regulations, including obligations on importers and distributors, and the use of the CE and UK Conformity Assessment marking in a ‘no deal’ scenario
  • Crucial steps businesses can take to prepare for a potential no-deal Brexit and where to find the additional sources of information you may need

This webinar will allow you to ask questions directly to government officials.

The webinar runs from 11am to 12 noon this Thursday, April 11th. Register please here.
