Support differs between both areas but below is an overview of support in each area.

Westmorland & Furness (old Eden, South Lakeland and Barrow District Council areas) – support available until January 25

• 3hrs one to one business adviser support for anyone with a business idea
• 12hrs one to one business adviser support for anyone with a serious and ready to launch business idea
• £500 grant on offer which can be used to support the opening of your business – a business plan is required
• Four day online business start-up course running in May or July

Cumberland (old Allerdale, Carlisle and Copeland areas) – support available until 30^th June 24

• One to one adviser support – 3hrs only
• Four day online business start-up course running in May or July
• Everything you need to know about budgeting, benefits and self-employment (in-person) – 30^th April & 1^st May
• Developing your value proposition (online) – Thursdays 2^ndMay, 16^th May, 6^th June & 20^th June (four series programme)
• Become an Entrepreneur by age 25 – (online) – Fridays 3^rdMay, 10^th May, 17^th May & 24^th May (four series programme)
• Starting a retail business (online) – Mondays 3^rdJune, 10^th June, 17^th June and 24^th June (four series programme)
• Elevate your start-up strategy with our Business Model Canvas session  (in-person) – 10^th June
