Are you interested in learning how selling your product or service overseas could help you grow your business?  Join us for a workshop with the Department for Business and Trade that will introduce you to the benefits of trading overseas and what you need to do to make your exporting journey a success.  In this interactive session, we will provide you with practical and no-nonsense advice that you need to get your exporting journey started.  We’ll cover things including choosing the right markets, doing effective research, getting your marketing message right and where to find help and support.

Simon Crosby will be delivering the workshop and leads the advisory team for the Department for Business & Trade (DBT) in the North East and Cumbria.  Simon has 15 years’ business development experience in the engineering and consumer goods markets throughout Asia, Europe and North America. Having worked with companies including Elfab, Grove Europe and Domnick Hunter, Simon has first-hand experience of building multi-million-pound distribution networks, business development with major retailers and the creation of B2C fulfilment channels.  Simon is the DBT regional lead for Canada, the USA and Mexico.

The Department for Business and Trade is the UK Government’s economic growth department. They support businesses to invest, grow and export, creating jobs and opportunities across the country.

Their responsibilities include to:
