Businesses in the Westmorland & Furness area (excluding Barrow) still have time to express interest in a competitive grant scheme funded by the Rural England Prosperity Fund with the window for expressions of interest closing at 12noon on 24th January.
It’s a capital grant scheme for the purchase of equipment and small scale capital improvements to help grow, diversify, innovate and improve productivity. Once the expressions of interest close, a grants panel will review and decide who is invited to make a full application for funding (full applications are due by 12noon on 13th March).
You can access further details and download the expression of interest form and guidance notes here
For farming and other land-based businesses there’s further support including:
- Advice vouchers of up to £500, which can be used with an adviser/business consultant of your choice – no match funding is needed but you can choose to add more
- Workshops to support growth and resilience and help you navigate the new subsidy regimes, delivered through The Farmer Network – access workshops here
For other businesses adviser support is on offer through the Growth Hub’s team, including access to finance, hospitality specialists and more.
