Thanks to funding from Barrow Town Deal, Cumbria Business Growth Hub is delivering free business support to individuals and businesses in LA13, 14, 15, 16 and selected LA12 postcodes on behalf of Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership.
We can support:
- anyone who’s never given self-employment a thought
- those thinking about self-employment but who are unsure if it’s the right option for them
- those with a hobby they could turn into a business
- those well on the way to starting a business
- existing businesses looking to access new supply chain opportunities
- existing businesses looking to develop and grow
- support for anyone thinking about or running a social enterprise (support delivered by project partners Cumbria Social Enterprise Partnership)
What can we offer?
- Introduction to self-employment online workshop
- In person three day business start-up support
- 1-2-1 adviser support and guidance from a team of highly qualified and experienced business advisers covering a wide range of specialisms and expertise
- Specific supply chain adviser support, training and resources
- Training courses fully funded by the programme
- Wider signposting to other relevant business support programmes/initiatives
All of the above is backed up by a comprehensive business diagnostic looking at the business idea/business activity as a whole. Assessing each area of your business, the diagnostic looks at where you are now, where you want to be moving forward and how you get there.
Funding only runs until end of March 2024 and we’re really keen to spend all allocated funds in the local area for the benefit of local people and businesses.
Anyone interested please email info@cumbriagrowthhub.co.uk – we’re also keen to hear from organisations who can help us spread the word about project support and refer in individuals/businesses for support.
If anyone wants an informal chat about the project please contact Lesley Robinson – lesleyr@cumbriachamber.co.uk or call 07876861266.
