To celebrate this year’s Manufacturing Day we’re doing things in style and hosting three site tours in different parts of the county.

Starting in Carlisle, Pirelli have very kindly agreed to accommodate two groups of 4 starting at 10.30am.

Held in partnership with Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster we’re going to James Walker & Co Ltd, Gote Brow, Cockermouth, CA13 0NH from 10am to 12noon.

With a maximum of 15 places available the tour follows the manufacturing process starting in the Materials Technology Centre where the rubber is made, through the various production processes, ending in Logistics where the finished products are ready for despatch.

And finally we’re off to Playdale Playgrounds, Haverthwaite, Ulverston, LA12 8AE from 9am to 11am.

This is a great opportunity to visit their state-of-the-art facility and learn more about the company’s mission to create safe, fun, and exciting playgrounds for kids.
