Support from Cumbria Business Growth Hub keeps on coming

The great range of support from Cumbria Business Growth Hub just keeps on coming!

Firstly, Peer Networks:

You may not have qualified for our peer networks due to the 5 or more employee number restrictions.

Thanks to flexibilities received from funders BEIS we can now recruit businesses with 2-4 employees giving us much more scope and flexibility to support a wider range of businesses.

To qualify you need to fit into one of the below*:

  1. a) under-represented groups eg women-led, ethnic minority-led
  2. b) sectors particularly impacted by Covid ie retail and hospitality
  3. c) businesses with turnover over £200,000.

*local discretion can be used so please still get in touch if you don’t fall into one of the above.

So let’s just remind you of the peer network offer.

Are you a senior manager/business owner looking to learn from others?

Would sharing experiences, obstacles, successes, failures, best practice and hearing from others help you develop and grow?

If so you need to consider attending one of our peer networks.

Peer networks are perfect for senior managers/business owners looking to:

  • Overcome business challenges, benchmark against others and explore new solutions to problems
  • Identify and take advantage of business opportunities
  • Develop and cultivate a trusted network of business peer connections
  • Evaluate your business style and develop your business skills
  • Share experiences and ideas with likeminded business people

All we ask in return is a commitment to join six 3-hour sessions.

Space available on cohorts in January! Get in touch to find out more.

Don’t just take our word for it, Val has just completed our first cohort:

“I think we all tend to think our own sector has unique pressures and problems. Being part of a peer to peer network helps us realise that actually we share very similar pressures and can benefit from the network in various ways. These include just being amongst people who understand what we’re struggling with; being actively supported to look at our issues differently and, when we want it, having access to the advice and experience of others. It’s a really supportive place to learn.” – Val Stangoe, St Mary’s Hospice

If you’re interested but still don’t think you’re eligible or are not sure then please do get in touch. There are other options we can suggest.

Could a fresh pair of eyes help you improve your business?

Are you a business owner who doesn’t have time to step back and evaluate your business and where it’s heading?

Is there just too much work to do and not enough hours in the day or pairs of hands to help?

If you can answer yes to one or both of the above let Cumbria Business Growth Hub take the strain and provide you with a free, impartial business diagnostic.

With up to 3hrs support on offer, a qualified and experienced business adviser can look at all areas of your business including financial position, operations, product/service development, marketing & sales, international markets, human resources, and future business development. The adviser will populate and share the review with you.

If you’re a business that either meets the criteria of a potential Scale-Up (the aspiration and potential with support to deliver significant turnover growth over the next 3 year period of at least 50% and who have at least 5 staff in the current period) or any business that has the opportunity, ambition and greatest potential to grow then 12hrs of support is on offer.

This offer is only available for a limited time and will be offered on a first come first served basis. If you have received similar support under Cumbria Growth Catalyst you won’t be eligible for this support.
