UK Export Finance’s has announced the UK’s first green transition loan to engineering and consultancy firm Wood Plc. This loan will develop green jobs across the UK and enhance its clean growth exports.
It’ll also allow Wood to grow its business by investing in future low carbon growth areas, providing critical working capital for clean growth projects around the world and providing funds for research and development in clean growth sectors.

It’s also been announced that there’s more support to help people to become HGV drivers to help tackle the skills shortages. The Department for Education is investing up to £10 million to train up to 3,000 more people to become HGV drivers. The free, short, intensive courses will train drivers to be road ready and gain a category C or C&E licence. More information can be found here.
