Could you spare some time to inspire the next generation?

The Business Department at Kendal College are looking to connect students with local businesses to give them an understanding of how the theoretical knowledge provided by the College actually applies in the ‘real world’.

The College runs two T Level courses:

  • T Level Finance looks at the Financial Services sector and the business interaction between organisations, change management and how that impacts on an oganisation’s performance.
  • T Level Management and Administration looks at internal company dynamics and project work

Both courses are designed to be vocational by nature and include a mandatory 315 hours of industry placement over the two years, giving students a real experience of how companies operate and has proven very successful in supplementing the knowledge they gain during lessons.

The College aims to extend their experiential learning by hosting two industry days during the academic year, but also by inviting local businesses to visit the college to speak to students on a more ad hoc basis.

Industry days are planned for Thursday 12th December and Thursday 6th February.

Other potential dates are:

14th November – subject matter would suit a financial adviser

5th December – subject matter is around qualifications and competencies required for a career in financial services

23rd January – subject matter is around risk management
