Cumbria Leadership Conference

Join us to hear from down-to earth people with real leadership expertise helping you to reflect on the simple concepts of leadership and think about how you can apply these ideas to increase performance in your own business.

The Leadership Book author Neil Jurd OBE brings together and hosts a high-value line-up of leadership experts including:

  • Former Special Forces’ Colonel Jack Felix who will share invaluable lessons in Leadership Reflection from a Special Forces Commander, exploring how purpose, followership, and kindness are integral to successful leadership.
  • International top-level coach Macarena Vergara who will host an interactive session on Coaching for Leaders: How to allow others to think, decide and act demonstrating how coaching techniques can create high-performing teams.
  • Polar Explorer and Polar Academy Craig Mathieson. Craig’s session Leadership and Team Development on Ice will highlight how trust, responsibility, and high expectations can transform individuals into exceptional leaders. Craig will also touch on some of his own extreme exploration, including polar exploration and kayaking.

And of course Neil himself who simplifies leadership into easily applicable principles. His session will focus on how leaders need to ‘Pause and Allow’ – taking time to think and being brave enough not to meddle.

Lesley Robinson, Head of Business Support at Cumbria Chamber of Commerce said: “The ability to lead effectively is essential for any successful business, and this conference is designed to provide attendees with tools and insights allowing them to do just that. With our lineup of speakers who have honed their leadership skills in some of the toughest environments, this is an unmissable opportunity to gain knowledge to take your leadership skills to the next level!
