Below you’ll find information on rural business support (including business advice and grants) which we’re delivering through Westmorland & Furness Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF) programme.
There’s also a great range of workshops for businesses in the farming and land-based sector being delivered by The Farmer Network.
Wednesday 18th December from 6.30pm at the Kellbank Hotel, Gosforth
Hannah Shirt from Yara UK will cover how to maximise the use of nutrients from slurry and FYM, what information you need to develop a Nutrient Management Plan, why you need one and the funding available through the Sustainable Farming Incentive. There will also be a talk from CSF officer Laura Teasdale, the opportunity to meet your local CSF officer, Rebecca Thomas, and to sign up for a 1:1 clinic in January funded by the Catchment Sensitive Farming programme. Sandwiches and chips provided.
This workshop is free through Cumberland UK SPF funding, click here to book
