The Challenge 

Needed more luxury accommodation for wedding guests to stay on site. Was also struggling to attract staff due to their location and lack of transport links.

The Solution 

Dennis applied for a grant scheme funded by the Rural England Prosperity Fund, provided through Westmorland and Furness Council. He secured £20,000 towards adding two new bedrooms including a luxury bridal suite and extra accommodation for staff.

The Impact 

After adding the extra space, the hotel has had a lot more bookings for weddings and hopes to expand their market to accommodate other visitors to the area such as cyclists and shooting parties. With the introduction of the new staff accommodation, they can provide living quarters for their employees ensuring staff can always get to work on time.
