Mel is the founder of Kinsella HR Solutions Limited launched in January 2023 a HR Consultancy based in Carlisle. She then went on to launch Kinsella Business Solutions CIC, in July 2024. A Community Interest Company (CIC), the organisation focuses on social objectives alongside its business goals. Mel has assembled an exceptional team that specialises in four key areas: HR, Leadership Development, Marketing, and Recruitment.

Mel holds the prestigious FCIPD (Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) designation, which signifies her high level of expertise and experience in the field of human resources. As a Director and HR Consultant, she brings over 25 years of experience in resolving people issues to support business success.

Outside of her professional life, Mel has a passion for music and performance:
•    She performs as a solo act, singing Soul and Motown
•    Mel is also a member of a 5-piece Disco and Soul band
•    Additionally, she volunteers as a trustee and LAB Advisor for charities and local schools in Cumbria
