Join us for a practical, empowering Safe Woman workshop designed specifically for women in business.
Delivered by Sarah Schofield founder of the multi-award winning The Safe Woman, this session will explore pro-active personal safety in a way that is calm, confidence-building and rooted in real life.
This is not a traditional self-defence class. You do not need to be fit, strong, sporty or experienced. The Safe Woman approach is designed for everyday women, in everyday clothes, facing everyday situations - whether at work, travelling, socialising, lone working, attending meetings or simply moving through public spaces.
During the workshop, attendees will explore practical ways to improve personal safety, including situational awareness, recognising early warning signs, avoiding and de-escalating risk, and using simple release techniques if needed. The session is designed to be accessible, supportive and empowering. Women are encouraged to come as they are and wear whatever they feel comfortable in.
The Safe Woman is built around one central belief: women’s safety should not be about fear. It should be about confidence, choice and practical tools for real life.
Sarah Schofield is the founder of The Safe Woman, a multi-award winning Cumbria-based women’s safety education brand created to help women feel more confident, prepared and capable in everyday life.
The Safe Woman was born from Sarah’s own experience as a victim of crime, working and travelling in some of the most challenging countries in the world and from her belief that women deserve practical safety training that is empowering rather than alarming.
Her workshops combine pro-active personal safety, situational awareness, avoidance and de-escalation techniques with simple release techniques designed for real-world situations.
Sarah’s approach is rooted in a little-known Second World War method originally developed specifically for women, which she has brought up to date for modern life. Unlike traditional self-defence classes, The Safe Woman is not about combat, fitness or fear. It is about giving women practical tools they can actually use, whether they’re at work, travelling, socialising, lone working or simply going about daily life.
Safety for women, by women. Built for real life.
