Due to selling out our tour earlier this month  we’re going back to Cumbria Waste Group on Tuesday 2nd June from 10.30am to 12noon.

The tour of the Hespin Wood facility is designed to give visitors a practical demonstration of how modern waste management operations function. It will cover the journey of waste through the site, key processing activities, and how Cumbria Waste Group ensure compliance with environmental legislation while maximising resource recovery and minimising environmental impact. This tour helps people understand where the waste originates from and how it is handles when it reaches Cumbria Waste Group. A way in which this tour does this is by giving visitors an up-close look at the multi-million-pound invested MRF facility, designed to separate recyclables into their separate, unique commodities.

Price: £25 +VAT (This is a charge applied by Cumbria Business Growth Hub, not Cumbria Waste Group with income reinvested into business support delivery)

If you don't have your own PPE, Cumbria Waste Management will provide boots, hats and high viz, we would just need your shoe size in advance of the tour.
