If you haven’t already heard Cumbria Chamber of Commerce has booked Sara Davies as our keynote speaker for this year’s Conference Cumbria.
Sara Davies is the Founder and CEO of Crafter’s Companion. Sara established Crafter’s Companion while studying at York University. During a placement at a small craft company, she spotted a gap in the market for a tool that could create bespoke envelopes for handmade cards. With help from her retired engineer father, Sara designed and launched a ground-breaking craft product called The Enveloper.

Taking place on 2nd October at The Pencil Museum in Keswick, this year will be the Chamber’s biggest event with capacity for 350 delegates.
With the theme ‘Make it Happen’ plans are now starting to come together with the latest speaker to join the programme – Lucy Harrison of Harrison Network (further details to follow).

Georgina Goulding - Bakes by Gina
After leaving her dream job baking traybakes, meringue stacks, roulades and other sweet treats at a cafe tearoom, Gina quit to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. But she really missed baking so after getting her degree, Georgina set up Bakes by Gina in 2021 following the lockdown.
Gina hasn’t looked back, moving to commercial premises, opening to the public at weekends, rapidly growing her list of suppliers, offering a range of employment opportunities to local people and taking over a café. Gina also won the Mitie Business Boost competition in 2024.

Lou is the Co-Founder and CEO of +3K Animation Studios, serving broadcasters and brands worldwide and most recently completed two seasons of My Friend Misty for SkyKids, executive produced by Fearne Cotton.
Passionate about developing spell-binding, character-driven storytelling for a global audience, +3K places key investment in the development of original IP, and actively creates animation industry opportunities in Cumbria, UK.
The studio’s first animated short film, The Fell We Climb (in partnership with Anti Racist Cumbria) won multiple international awards and has been selected for the BFI National Archive.
Lou served as a member of the jury of the British Animation Awards, 2024.
