With just under 2 months to go until the Chamber’s biggest event of the year, now is the time to book your ticket(s) to join us at this year’s Conference Cumbria.
This year’s theme is ‘Make it Happen’ and we’ve an exciting line up of speakers and panelists as well as high profile keynote speaker Sara Davies best known for her role in the BBC’s Dragon’s Den series where Sara has been investing in entrepreneurs for a number of years, sky rocketing those businesses to the next level with her backing.
Now in its third year, Conference Cumbria is being held on Thursday 2nd October at The Pencil Museum in Keswick. Our aim is to bring together 300+ attendees giving a great opportunity to make new connections. You’ll also be able to visit our 38 exhibitors (with room to take more bookings).
We’ve a jam packed programme, first you’ll hear from Lucy Harrison and Heather Grisdale of The Harrison Network who will deliver a session -Building a culture of performance – making work a little less sh*t. You can hear more from Lucy and Heather here
Before lunch we have our ‘young entrepreneurs’ panel hosted by Chamber Board member Tom Waterhouse, Managing Director at Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire. You can hear from panel member Luke Jackson here
Straight after lunch Alec Pearson from Alec Pearson Coaching will deliver a session - Make It Happen Together – How Aligned Teams Drive Real Business Results. You can hear more from Alec here
We’ll then close the day by hearing from Sara Davies - My journey so far and how to craft your own success story - following which Sara will stay for photo opportunities.
If your business invests in corporate social responsibility we’d love to have your support in sponsoring student tickets, as we feel everyone should have the opportunity to hear from Sara. You get to choose which school/college receives the tickets, contact Lesley Robinson for further details – lesleyr@cumbriachamber.co.uk Catalyst 360 have already sponsored tickets for five students from Kendal College.
We also do have other sponsorship opportunities still available – thanks to current sponsors Cumberland Council, David Allen, Dodd & Co, GO Low Carbon, Leader Connect and Westmorland & Furness Council. Again contact Lesley Robinson for further details.
We look forward to seeing you there!
