At Pottery by the pond, I offer friendly and supportive pottery classes for the public, welcoming both complete beginners and those with more experience. With over 30 years experience working in the creative field, I bring a wealth of knowledge, patience, and passion to every session.

My studio is set within a large and beautiful garden in the Cumbrian countryside, providing an inspiring environment where you can relax, unwind, and enjoy the creative process. Sessions are kept small, with one-to-one tuition or maximum of two students at a time, allowing for personalised guidance and a calm, comfortable atmosphere.

I believe in nurturing confidence at every stage, supporting each student to develop their skills at their own pace. Whether you would like to try throwing on the pottery wheel or explore hand-building techniques such as slap building and coiling, you will be encourage to experiment and enjoy the experience.
