Dr Ian P Loftus is an experienced business consultant, author, and educator with a diverse career spanning corporate strategy, finance, and creative writing. As a long-standing Business Adviser at Cumbria Business Growth Hub he works closely with SMEs across multiple sectors, providing guidance in leadership, marketing, business planning, and customer engagement. He also leads workshops and one-to-one mentoring programmes, drawing on extensive commercial experience gained from senior roles in finance, ICT, and aerospace sectors.
Alongside his consultancy work, Ian is a published author and holds a PhD in Creative Writing. His fiction and nonfiction books explore the intersection of emotion, narrative, and resilience, reflecting his academic background and personal commitment to lifelong learning. He is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and up to recently he taught English as a second language to international business professionals.
