Bravery is a skill, but understanding the financial impacts of bravery is knowledge. Success requires both. I very much look forward to meeting you all.
I have spent the past 20 years working in various finance and education roles including Northern area manager for The Money Advice Service (Now the Money and Pensions service), Education lead at American Express UK and Sales and Coaching Manager at Newcastle Building Society. More recently I have taken all my experience and poured it into my passion which is helping people to make well informed decisions about their money.
Launched in 2019 during the early days of the COVID pandemic, MESS believes in "helping people help themselves". I have worked for the past 5 years with schools, community groups, businesses and individuals looking at their budgets and money and identifying risk and solutions. I believe that if you have sound understanding of your personal and business finances you will be in a strong position to make better financial decisions. A good budget will always tell you what to do.
I enjoy a 121 coaching approach and love nothing more than exploring peoples ideas, identifying key considerations from a money point of view and then helping to equip them with the relevant knowledge and skills to develop ideas into reality.
