A programme designed for SME owner managers of high growth companies based in Cumbria. Developed using the same model as Lancaster’s renowned former LEAD programme the Cumbria Forum is designed to support businesses by providing a trusted peer to peer network and activities to stimulate self-development and business growth.

A peer network and business growth programme designed to meet the needs of aspiring growth businesses based in Cumbria.

The Cumbria Forum is designed to support companies by providing a trusted peer to peer network and activities to stimulate self-development and business growth.

This innovative six month programme draws upon key elements of Lancaster's research into how entrepreneurs learn and grow.

It gives owner-managers and senior managers the opportunity to engage with a leading university and other like-minded businesses, providing a supportive and trusted environment to work on issues and opportunities surrounding business growth.

Growth Workshops including Business Model Canvas and Access to Finance

Company Visit

Online Forum

The next cohort will begin on the 13th March 2017 and the majority of activities will be delivered in Cumbria. Careful consideration has gone into the planning of the programme making sure that geographical constraints are minimised.

This programme is fully funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is available to ERDF eligible companies.

ERDF Eligibility:

Based in Cumbria

Employ fewer than 250 full-time employees

Has an annual turnover less than £40 million

Has received less than £160,000 of publicly funded support in the last 3 years

Is not a retail business

Is business to business
