Cumbria Forum Masterclass 24th November

Posted in: All Areas

The second cohort of the Cumbria Forum is starting in March 2017. To give you the opportunity to preview the programme we are holding a masterclass and networking lunch on the 24th November.

The speaker for this masterclass is Helen Colley.

We all have a story, Helen’s story began by starting her pudding business on a kitchen table and then selling it 4 years later for £10m. Every business needs the same basic ingredients: Product, People, Passion and Profit.

Helen will discuss her business success, drawing on lessons learned over the last 30 years since she launched her first corporate catering business from her parent’s Lancashire farm in 1984. Helen effectively scaled this business before being acquired by Daniels Chilled Foods at the end of 2006. The thriving business remains true to the business’ provenance and now employs over 120 staff at an 85,000 sq ft custom-built, BRC A Grade accredited site in Clitheroe, Lancashire.

As a multi-award winner and a director of the North West Fine Foods board, Helen is the ideal candidate to talk about the precedents of commercial success.

Please note that this event is strictly for Cumbrian SMEs, if you are interested in attending or want to know more about the Cumbria Forum, contact Pete Cornwall: p.cornwall@lancaster.ac.uk or 01524 510728.
